Seneca Community Players Announce Auditions For Readers Theatre
Seneca Falls, NY, April 1, 2017 – On Saturday April 8 at 6pm, Seneca Community Players will hold auditions for a Staged Reading of Neil Simon’s play, The Good Doctor,
The Good Doctor is a play consisting of several “short plays” inspired by the short stories of writer Anton Chekhov. It follows the trials and tribulations of an un-named writer who is suffering a bout of writer’s block, as he narrates his series of short stories to the audience.
No memorization is required, as actors will read from the script during the performance. Parts are available for both men & women of all ages. Staged readings are a unique opportunity for actors and directors to experience interpreting new and old plays in a story-telling atmosphere.
There will be no charge for performances of The Good Doctor which will be on May 6th at 7:30PM, and May 7th at 2PM, at 115 Fall Street, lower level. Each performance will be followed by a Q&A talkback session with the actors and director. Craig Simmons, who has previously been seen as Boolie in SCP’s Driving Miss Daisy, and Doctor Prentice in What The Butler Saw, will be directing.
Auditions will begin promptly at 6pm, April 8 at 115 Fall Street, lower level, in Seneca Falls.
