ARE YOU BEING SERVED CAST ANNOUNCED

SENECA FALLS, NY, July 27, 2018 ———— Seneca Community Players announced today that they have cast their upcoming production of David Croft and Jeremy Lloyd’s Are You Being Served.  This uproarious stage adaptation of the British comedy of the same name set to be presented in the Academy Square, North Park Theater on August 17, 18, 19, 24 and 25 at 7:30 pm.

Are you Being Served is sure to be enjoyed by lovers of innuendo and British humor, Flying Circus fans and seekers of laughs.  To the delight of fans everywhere, this popular British television comedy is now a stage show that revels in nonstop double entendres.

When the motley crew of the Grace Brothers department store prepare for a sale of German goods and then depart for a staff holiday in Spain, they survive their stay in the tropics at a one-star establishment and their encounters a Spanish crumpet and randy revolutionaries with everything intact but their modesty intact.

In its Finger Lakes area debut the part of Captain Peacock will be portrayed by Michael Jansen.  Michael lives in Clifton Springs, NY and he is a club supervisor at BJ’s Wholesale in Geneva. Michael is a Seneca Community Players veteran, acting in Things My Mother Taught Me and Dead Metaphor among others

 

The part of Mr. Rumboldt will be played by another Seneca Community Players veteran, Jim Porto of Seneca Falls.  Jim has been seen in many Seneca Community Players productions, most recently in The Good Doctor.  Playing the part of Mr. Humphries is Juan Esapna.  Juan has also been seen in a number of Seneca Community Players productions most recently he played the role of Peter VanDaan in The Diary of Anne Frank. The part of Mrs. Slocombe is being played by Kathy Kirkland of Cayuga. Kathy is another veteran of Seneca Community Players performing in many shows including Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Playing the Part of Miss Brahms is Pam Behms of Seneca Falls. This is Pam’s first production with Seneca Community Players. Mr. Lucas is being played by Evan Meyer of Waterloo. This also, Evan’s first role with Seneca Community players. Mr. Grainger is being played by Mike Hawker of Seneca falls. Mike is also a veteran of Seneca Community Players last seen in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory.

 

Rounding out the cast is Russel Brewer of Clyde, Mildred Esapna of Penn Yan, Kaylee Millard and Tim Hoster of Seneca Falls and Bob McDowell of Cayuga.

 

“Are you Being Served?” will be performed at Academy Square-North Park Theater, 12N Park St. Seneca Falls, with general Admission seating beginning at 7pm and show beginning at 7:30 pm.

Tickets are $13 advanced sale available at WomanMade Products in Seneca Falls or online at senecacommunityplayers.org. Tickets will be available at the door for $15. Senior and Student tickets are $13 advance and at the door.
